Ampower Electrical recently attended a residential job for Elliot in Dover Heights, providing expert assistance with driveway lighting and a faulty basement light circuit.

The job involved the supply and installation of a new motion sensor to the driveway, along with the supply and replacement of a 50W 12V LED driver powering the driveway wall lights. Our electrician thoroughly tested the basement light circuit after the customer reported ongoing issues.

Through professional electrical fault finding, the fault was traced back to the driveway motion sensor, which had suffered moisture ingress. This moisture damage caused the sensor to malfunction and disrupt the lighting circuit. Additionally, the LED driver supplying the wall lights was found to be faulty and was replaced to restore reliable operation.

Once repairs were completed, all lighting was tested and confirmed to be working safely and correctly. This job highlights the importance of prompt fault diagnosis, especially where outdoor electrical components are exposed to the elements, and the value of professional lighting installation and repair services.
