Ampower Electrical recently attended a property in Dover Heights NSW, assisting our customer Khristina with an urgent electrical issue after the main switch repeatedly tripped.

Upon arrival, our licensed electrician Peter carried out a full assessment of the main switchboard, testing all electrical circuits to identify the cause of the fault. During this process, it was discovered that a steam system circuit had a dead short between the B and C phases, creating a significant electrical fault that was causing the main switch to trip.

To ensure the safety of the home and occupants, the affected power cable feed was isolated at the garage distribution board, and a danger tag was placed on the circuit to prevent accidental re-energisation. This immediate action eliminated the risk of further damage or electrical hazards until repairs can be completed.
