Ampower Electrical recently completed an electrical cooktop replacement and safety upgrade for Candice at her home in Rushcutters Bay NSW 2011.

The job involved the safe removal of the existing cooktop and the installation of a new customer-supplied cooktop, ensuring it was correctly connected and tested to meet Australian electrical standards. As part of the upgrade, our electrician also removed the old circuit breaker and supplied and installed a new 25 Amp RCBO safety switch to provide enhanced protection against electrical faults.

Upgrading to an RCBO is an important safety improvement, as it offers combined overload, short-circuit, and residual current protection—helping to protect both the appliance and the household. This type of work often forms part of broader electrical switchboard and circuit safety upgrades, ensuring modern appliances operate reliably and safely.

The work was carried out by Kris, our experienced electrician, who completed the job efficiently while ensuring all testing and compliance checks were completed to a high standard.
