Ampower Electrical recently attended a fault finding job for Michael in Bondi Junction, where our team was called out to investigate an electrical issue affecting the shop’s lighting circuit.

A 20A RCBO at the distribution board was tripping, causing disruption to the lighting. Our electricians, Kris and Nikola, carried out a thorough inspection to identify the source of the fault. They successfully isolated a problematic switch—most likely the one supplying power to the rangehood light—while confirming that all other shop lighting was functioning correctly.

After safely re-energising the circuit, the team completed full testing to ensure normal operation of the remaining lights.

During the inspection, it was also found that the RCBO safety switch for the fryer was damaged beyond repair. A follow-up visit will be required to replace this unit and restore full electrical safety and compliance.
